Under Graduation in Commerce (CA)

Duration: UG: 3 Years (6 Semesters), PG : 2 Years (4 Semesters).

Eligibility: UG: A pass in +2 from a recognized board (commerce, accountancy as main

subjects) and PG: B.Com., B.Com[CA], B.Com [PA], B.Com., [CS] & B.B.A. from the

recognized college (or) university.

Age limit: UG: 21 years, PG: No limit.

About Our Department

        AKCAS provides B.Com., B.Com., [CA] & M.Com., [CA] Degree course which is affiliated by Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. Our department has 15 faculty members in which two of them are part time faculties who are specialized in Law and economics. There are totally 550 students. 95% of our students got placed in various companies such as ICICI, HDFC, Mahindra bank, Kotak, Wipro, HCL, TCS, Eureka Forbes , TMI sales and marketing and some of them are entrepreneurs. 6 Students were obtained university ranks in the last 2 years. Our department students are participating in NSS, RRC and YRC programs which are conducted by our college. Students won prizes in various inter college competition and sports (District & state level)

         Students opting for B.Com. B.Com. [CA] & M.Com. [CA] course can be able to build their knowledge not only in the subjects of commerce and also in software technology in order to fulfill their Professional requirements. This programme aims at inculcating essential skills as demanded by the global software industry through an interactive learning process. This course building the knowledge of commerce and computer applications which will help to the students to become smart and employable. This dual knowledge in the field of commerce is an extra mileage in the placements. It has an innovative modern curriculum.
